Torben Kessler

Torben Kessler, born in Bielefeld in 1975, studied drama, singing and dance at the Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen. After two years as a novice at the Theater Freiburg, he had long-standing engagements at the theatres in Leipzig, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Hannover. He has worked with directors including Anne Lenk, Jorinde Dröse, Karin Henkel, Lisa Nielebock, Wolfgang Engel, Markus Bothe and Christopher Rüping. As a voice artist, he has featured in numerous audiobook productions of novels by Hanya Yanagihara, Nino Haratischwili, Sibylle Berg, Colson Whitehead and Arno Geiger, among others. As of the 25/26 season, Torben Kessler is a member of the ensemble at Thalia Theater.
