Hamburg premiere 4.12.26, Thalia Theater
Ferdinand is madly in love with Luise, and Luise is in love with Ferdinand. So life could actually be wonderful, were it not for the difference in their social status: Luise is of the bourgeoisie, and Ferdinand is of the nobility. With unexpected force, this love gives rise to a social conflict that extends even to the ranks of the most powerful and reveals just how political love is. Schiller dissects love and its boundaries mercilessly and with great tension. In a co-production with the Deutsches Theater Berlin, director Anne Lenk will let her gaze wander into this abyss of human souls and the interaction with the system surrounding them.
