Björn Meyer

Björn Meyer was born in Lüdenscheid in 1989. While studying drama at Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, he already had guest roles at Thalia Theater, St. Pauli Theater and Kampnagel. In a co-production with the Theaterakademie, Karin Neuhäuser staged Wedekind's Frühlings Erwachen as the final project of his drama class at Thalia Gaußstraße. During his first full-time engagement at Schauspiel Frankfurt, he worked with Ersan Mondtag and Julie Van den Berghe, among others. Together with Jasper Diedrichsen, Björn Meyer performed as the duo Tim van Thom & Hans Blank.

Björn Meyer also appears regularly on screen. In 2016, he was awarded the German Academy of Television Award for his performance in Der Tatortreiniger: Pfirsich Melba.

Since the 12/13 season, Björn Meyer has been a frequent guest on the stage of the Thalia Theater, and from 17/18 to 25/26 he was a permanent member of the ensemble.
