After Rike calculates the date of the apocalypse, she sinks into deep despair. Growing increasingly desperate, she searches for stability and decides, as her last remaining form of security, to marry her girlfriend Romy. She plans a triple wedding with two couples who are friends of theirs, who are also searching for a sense of eternity. Retreated into a bomb shelter, they go through the rituals of their wedding—until suddenly an uninvited guest crashes the party… In an apocalyptic mood, the wedding party asks itself:
Who will eat the cake later? Is our last chance to make a statement to commit suicide? Or can we still find hope?
