Insa Rudolph
She studied jazz vocals at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Since graduating, she has worked as a freelance singer and composer. Her artistic practice focuses on composing music inspired by unusual sound sources, in which the unfamiliar and the familiar merge to create an alternative overall sound. She also works as a composer of music for documentary films, such as National Bird, Enemies of the State (premiered at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival), and most recently United States vs. Reality Winner. She is a founding member of the independent theater company werkgruppe2, where she serves as composer, musical director, and stage musician for nearly all of its productions. In October 2022, Insa Rudolph was inducted into the German Film Academy. She lives in Frankfurt.
