
Franziska Hartmann
Franziska Hartmann, born in Munich in 1984, studied drama at Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig. After guest performances at various theatres during and after her training, she joined the ensemble at Thalia Theater in 2009. She had the opportunity to put her musical passion – singing and playing the violin – to good use in many productions, including Das achte Leben by Nino Haratischwili (directed by Jette Steckel), Tonight: Fraktus with the musicians of Studio Braun, in Panikherz by Benjamin von Stuckrad-Barre (directed by Christopher Rüping) and as Seeräuber-Jenny in the Dreigroschenoper (directed by Antú Romero Nunes).
Alongside her theatre work, she has appeared in numerous film and television productions and has worked as a voice artist for radio dramas and audiobooks. In 2018, she received the German Audio Book Prize and the Baden-Baden Film Festival's Best Actress Award for Über Barbarossaplatz. Franziska Hartmann received an award from the German Academy of Television (DAF) in 2020 for her leading role in the film Sterne über uns.
Since the 18/19 season, Franziska Hartmann has been working as a freelance actress and guest performer at Thalia Theater.
