Inhabilia

During the Lessingtage festival, the class of artist and composer Ari Benjamin Meyers from the Düsseldorf Art Academy will be constantly present and will occupy the Thalia Theater for the entire duration of the festival.
They will live, sleep, and work there. The foyer will become a kitchen, living room, and studio. The public space will be transformed into a private situation and the private situation into a public space. Visitors are house guests and are invited to participate in flat parties, book clubs, or living room concerts, to join them for breakfast, or to help with the housework. In the context of the cultural space, the various modalities of a social (living) space will be performed. In the theater foyer as our home, we invite you to participate in a variety of different interactions—from spontaneous happenings and interventions to announced actions, performances, and parties.
