Absentee Law قانون الغائب

Does absence begin with the disappearance of the body? Or does it begin with the withdrawal of its recognition? Absentee Law tells the story of a political absence that becomes legal dispossession. It is the story of a Palestinian family that was displaced in 1948. Their home, their land, their rights vanished in the shadow of the Absentee Property Law. A search for traces spanning three generations between Haifa, the Al-Yarmūk refugee camp, and Paris, which reconstructs an intervention against forgetting and invites remembrance and resistance.

ABDALRAHMAN ALQALAQ *1997 in Damascus, is a Palestinian
poet, writer, and performance artist. He studied  cultural studies and aesthetic practice in Hildesheim.

MILENA KNOP *2001 in Lippstadt. As a musician, she operates at the intersection of dance, music, and improvisation. She is currently studying Cultural Studies and Artistic Practice in Hildesheim

MARION AVGERIS *1999 in Düsseldorf, studies Performing Arts in Hildesheim and works part-time in production management.
