Contact Video Department

VIDEO RECORDINGS REQUEST

Please contact the video department if you are interested in video recordings of productions staged at the Thalia Theater. We make these available for a limited period of time for academic, research, and teaching purposes via a password-protected Vimeo link.

We will first check whether the recording you require is available and whether its provision has been approved by the rights holders (e.g., theater publishers). If this is the case, you will receive a payment request from us for €10. Once payment has been received, we will send you a link to the video.

The video recording is intended solely for my personal research or academic work. Any further use, reproduction, storage, or public presentation is only permitted with the consent of all copyright holders. The unauthorized use of copyright-protected works may result in monetary penalties, imprisonment, or fines.

University courses are public within the meaning of the German Copyright Act (UrhG) due to the lack of personal connection between the students.
The reproduction of works in these courses therefore fundamentally interferes with the right of public reproduction and is subject to the consent or intervention of a limitation provision (e.g., through the right to quote) of the UrhG.
In many cases, the Thalia Theater is only one of many copyright holders and therefore cannot generally grant permission.
