Everything you need to know about your visit to the theatre
We are very pleased to be able to play for you and have developed comprehensive protective measures for a safe and relaxed visit to the Thalia Theater. Please note the following specifics to protect the health of everyone in attendance - in front of, behind and on stage.
FFP2 mask recommendation
From Saturday, April 30th, we recommend wearing a medical mouth and nose protector throughout your stay in our venues. (Op mask or FFP2 mask).
For all (dance) events, the 2G+ rules have been lifted until further notice.
House opening The house is open for you 30 minutes before the performance begins (for performances with introduction 60 minutes before). Entry and exit to the theatre will be through several doors. Please take note of the seating chart on your ticket and follow the signposted routes. If you have any questions on the night, our front of house staff are there to help you at any time.
Spacing We are again able to occupy the house without spacing. Please ensure safety distance while moving through the theater and only sit on the seats you booked. Do not change or swap seats.
HAND WASHING We have placed hand sanitiser dispensers at the theatre entrance – please use them!
CLOAKROOM The cloakrooms are open again.
CONSIDERING OTHERS Your health and wellbeing is important to us. Should you feel ill, or if you are suffering cold-like symptoms, please stay at home, as we will not be able to let you in.
Questions? The box office at Alstertor is open all summer long to answer your queries, from Mon-Sat 10am-6pm, on 040/32814-444

A meeting place The ballroom at Thalia in Gaußstraße turns into the Café International on Wednesday afternoons: Over sweet-cooked tea and fair-trade coffee, we exchange stories in many languages. We build bridges between languages. The Refugee Law Clinic gives legal advice and neighbours help neighbours. A place of transculturality: theatre, art and music workshops, concerts and film screenings make the Embassy of Hope a place of solidarity and inclusion. All are welcome!
