Theatre Bar at Alstertor

NachtAsyl (Night Shelter)

Right up in the attic at Thalia, you’ll find our theatre bar, Nachtasyl. Our actors have created a space here where they can get a bit closer to the audience, by telling stories about their lives in an unusual way and discussing the issues that arise. So the Nachtasyl has become a space for talk shows, cinema, game shows, readings, concerts, dancing – and simply a place to grab a drink.

Come to our curated series and special theatre evenings where you’ll experience the actors up close and personal. There’s also the ‘Thalia Actors’ Studio,’ which regularly welcomes members of the ensemble as guests. Be it world music, chanson or indie rock, musicians from all over the world regularly come to perform at the Nachtasyl and theatrical concert evenings also make up an integral part of the programme – as well as musicians who have played on the main stage and visit the Nachtasyl with their own bands. Plus the Nachtasyl also hosts regular club nights.

The Nachtasyl is ready to welcome you every evening from 7pm.
Please note that the Nachtasyl is on the 5th floor and is not accessible via lift.
