Accessibility and Induction loops

In front of Thalia you’ll find two disabled parking bays. The neighbouring car parks, Q-Park City Car Park and Europa Passage Underground Car Park also have disabled parking bays and are accessible without barriers. The closest barrier-free ÖPNV stops are: S-Bahn Hauptbahnhof, U-Bahn Jungfernstieg (U2 and U4) and Bus Gerhart-Hauptmann-Platz. For barrier-free entry to the auditorium, please contact our front of house staff or press the red button at the main entrance. We will then be glad to offer barrier-free access via the side of the building. Thalia has two places for wheelchairs in row 4 of the stalls, and there are disabled toilets to the right of the stalls (> 90cm). Seats in the boxes and circles are not accessible barrier-free.

Thalia Gaußstraße offers parking bays directly in front of the theatre. The closest barrier-free ÖPNV-stop is Bus Gaußstraße, Line 2. Thalia Gaußstraße also offers at least one wheelchair place for each performance, as well as disabled toilets (> 80cm).

Induction loops are available at Thalia at the right of the stalls, where you can also find information on the function of induction loops. Surtitles: Selected plays are performed with German, English, Turkish or Russian surtitles. You can find all the information on this here. Audio description: At Thalia Gaußstraße we offer our visually impaired guests some performances with audio description and a chance to visit the stage ahead of the show. You’ll find performance dates on this website.

Concessions – Severely disabled guests receive a discount of a minimum of 50%, plus the person named on their disabled person’s ID will also receive a half-price ticket. Wheelchair users and their guest also pay concession rates. Thalia has been certified as barrier-free as part of the nationwide scheme, ‘Travel for all’ (Thalia G1&H1, Thalia Gaußstraße G1).

Here you can find detailed information on barrier-free access at Thalia (Alstertor) and Thalia Gaußstraße. Click here for more information on the ‘Barrier-free certification’ from the nationwide scheme ‘Travel for All’.
