With “Farm Fatale”, Philippe Quesne creates a bizarre, yet irresistibly funny tableau of farm life after human demise: five scare crows create a new autonomous society in which they run a makeshift radio station, prepare for protests and record the sounds of the dying nature around them while discussing the pressing issues of their new reality, such as sustainable farming and the extinction of all insects. With a laconic sense of humour Quesne and the superb cast show us the apocalypse from an absurd but most charming perspective.
