3000 Euros – according to statistics, this is the average monthly wage in Germany. 3000 Euros is what Denise, a supermarket checkout worker and single mother, hopes to earn by being in a porn film, so that she can take a once in a lifetime trip to New York. 3000 Euros separates Anton from his previous middle-class life, since he overspent on his credit card by exactly this amount. A fragile phase of life with too much excess turned the former law student into a ‘minus in the region’. The consequences are homelessness and a court summons. Thomas Melle’s melancholic and loving novel tells a sad love story and simultaneously reveals more about life on the edges of society.
Premieres 11th march 2016, Thalia Gauß (Garage)
