In ‘#minaret’, one of the most famous choreographers of the Arab world, the Lebanese director and dancer Omar Rajeh, explores the destruction of the city of Aleppo. Can a city die? And with it, the ideals, history and culture that it constitutes? How can one defend oneself against feelings of impotence in the face of the destruction of entire cities? And how can the daily violation of human rights, privacy and intimacy be faced? The dancers move on stage while a drone flms them. Human experiences are reflected in technical warfare.
