Makiko Yamaguchi

Makiko Yamaguchi has been working as arts administrator, coordinator, curator, interpreter/translator between Japan and German speaking countries with focus on performing arts at Goethe-Institut and Japan Foundation. She also worked in the cultural foundation of the City of Tokyo to build an international cultural network. From 2015 until 2020 she has worked at the Japan Foundation Asia Center, developing collaboration in contemporary performing arts between Southeast Asia and Japan. She has participated in three repertoire-productions of Toshiki Okada at Muenchner Kammerspiele 2016 „Hotpepper", „Air Conditioner", and „The Farewell Speech", 2018 „No Sex" and 2019 „The Vacuum Cleaner" as interpreter and dramaturg. Since 2020 she works at Goethe-Institut Tokyo as person in charge of Communication & PR.
