Nadin Schumacher studied interior design in Wiesbaden. Even as a student, she was developing set and costume design concepts and worked in the workshops of the State Theatre in Wiesbaden. Following her diploma, she worked as an artistic-scientific employee and lecturer in the Department of Design and Construction at the University of Applied Sciences in Kaiserslautern, carrying out experimental research with a residency at the University of the Arts London. Alongside this, she created freelance artistic pieces and installations for different photographers in Madrid and London and set designs at venues including the Ernst Deutsch Theatre in Hamburg.
During the 2019/2020 season she began working as a permanent set design assistant at Thalia, working on productions by Jette Steckel and Antú Romero Nunes, alongside set designers Florian Lösche and Matthias Koch. Her own work consists of staged readings in the Nachtasyl bar and as part of the Theaternacht event.
