Lene Schwind studied Fashion Design in Munich and has worked with the likes of Hugo Boss and Vivienne Westwood. She assisted as a guest at the Zurich Schauspielhaus and the Basel Theatre, during which time she also designed costumes in both Basel and at the University of Television and Film in Munich.
She worked at the Frankfurt Schauspiel, assisting on productions by Michael Thalheimer, Andreas Kriegenburg and Barry Kosky. During this time, she worked as a costume designer on productions including “The woman who ran against the doors” (Directed by: Oliver Reese), “The other side” and “The Great Gatsby” (Directed by Christopher Rüping). As a freelance costume designer, she has designed costumes for Christoph Mehler’s production of “Before Daybreak” at the Mainz State Theatre. During the 2012/2013 season she designed the costumes for Christopher Rüping’s “Tschick”, and later they worked together again on “PARADIES” for the 2020/21 season.
